Working with world-renowned artist and designer Es Devlin, we developed the UK Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai as an immersive experience packed with identity and emotion. Its core structure featured an AI that turned visitors into co-creatures of a poem about humanity.
Years of teaching the AI to think like a British Poet enabled it to create a continuously changing poem, using words donated by visitors or remote participants. Broadcasting the poem on the 20-meter-high-facade turned the pavilion one of the most iconic architectural gestures of the whole Expo and an important message to the world.
